Jose guided our group through a difficult7 day  hike. We were all at different levels of fitness and he was remarkable. One person could not do it and wanted to leave after two days. He worked with her and literally walked with her until she made it to the seventh day. It was a lesson in patience and kindness. The trip was organized and fun amd he was a great leader. I would recommend him highly. 

A few weeks ago I did the  Salkantay trek with Jose.

It was a great experience. 

Jose was very professional and passionated about everything - he knows the area very well and he knows a lot of facts.

He explained the program of the day, what to expect, what to wear, what to bring, and answered all kind of questions we had - which was nice and made us feel safe.

Even though my boyfriend was struggling a lot with altitude sickness, Jose was very patient and he gave us all the time we needed the reach the top. 

I can warmly recommend Jose as a guide.

Thanks for the opportunity to review Jose.  He guided our family through the Inca trails in Peru several years ago (date not available below), and did a wonderful job.  Our son's birthday was during our trek, and Jose surprised us all by having a cake made for him for his special day.  Jose communicated well, helped us when needed, and did a super job as guide.   I would not hesitate to hire him again.  You would be lucky to have him on your team!
