When visiting Nepal we ended up staying at a small friendly homestay, and asked them about tours. After explaining our expectations and considering we were going to Pokhara, they recommended us to go to Poon hill with Bidur as our travel guide. After a bumpy bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara, we slept for one night and began our adventure early in the morning. Bidur is a charming guy with lots of knowledge of the Annapurna mountain area (and other trekking areas as well, which he could tell many stories about). He was very supportive when we were getting tired, and managed to keep the spirits high. When we rounded up the trip, we shared some local wine and stories. Really a friendly guy, and would recommend him in a heartbeat - We still keep in touch over social media to this day.

My friend and I are from New Zealand, and were in Kathmandu for 6 days. We had a wonderful hike with Bidur! He was a fantastic guide with a great sense of humor, and a lot of knowledge about the area. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to do a hike in Nagarkot or the surrounding areas. 10/10 would recommend. 

Bidur escorted my husband and i and it was auch a Great pleasure.

His knowledge of his country and the Himslayes and Kathmandu is exquisite.

He was not pushy but a great „friend“to be with throughout the whole day.

The sunrise view was breathtaking and Bidur was very friendly and knowledgeable. He filled the 3-4 hour hike to changunarayan temple with interesting information about Nepal, Trekking, culture, etc. And we got back early enough to rest briefly and possibly do some other activity in the evening. I think you can adjust how much hiking vs driving you want to do. We opted for more hiking to enjoy walking around in rural Nepal and the great scenary.
