Awesome Eli

Reviewed June 5, 2019

Eli is the most knowledgeable guide I have ever used.  He is very passionate about his country and eager to share what he knows and what life is like for the Israeli people.  He is incredibly friendly and knows the right people everywhere we go!  This enabled us to avoid the crowds and lines.  It reached the point where he would order our meals for us,  and we were thrilled!  He has  a great sense of humor which was important to us.  We greatly enjoyed our time with him and would recommend him to anyone!

A-MA-ZING

Reviewed November 22, 2015

Traveling to Israel for the first time, my wife and I had heard that maybe we would need a guide, but maybe we could do it on our own. After spending six days with Eli touring Israel, I can say with certainty that one should not give it a second thought. Eli's knowledge of the country, the history of the people - of all religions, the politics, the landscape, the fauna, the food, the places to go, the people to connect with ... I can go on and on. THIS is Israel. Our time in Israel was not a mere vacation - it was an experience and one that my wife and I will remember forever . We want to share these memories with everyone we see, and Eli is the reason why. Israel has a lot of places to visit, and you can locate these places on a map and read about them in a book. But the experience and enthusiasm with which Eli brought these places to life, with small side trips and story lines made for a once-in-a-lifetime tour. We would not have known what we had missed, had it not been for Eli. Thank you so very much!!! We cannot wait to return some day soon. Bruce and Lori

10 FANTASTIC DAYS WITH A GUIDE WHO CAN ACHIEVE THE IMPOSSIBLE !!

Reviewed June 17, 2014

THIS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE USED ELI AS A GUIDE. After our first trip to Israel we went home to research my family to uncover my Jewish origin through my Father and Grandfather. My husband and I have since converted, but there was a problem with the final hurdle which Eli with his contacts and determination sorted out!! This was the email we sent him. It says it all.......... Shalom Eli This is just to send you a heartfelt thank you for all you did for us during our trip to Israel in May. The reason for our visit was very special, and for that we also needed a very special guide to work with us ......and we found it in you! Bri'el ,my husband, is confined to a wheelchair with limited mobility which was enough to put other guides off dealing with us. Yet you managed to take us both up to the top of Masada and all around Jerusalem, which was no easy task! Also, the trip was to complete our conversion to Judaism, which needed a Mikveh (ritual immersion in flowing water) to be performed. The problem was that in the UK there is no Mikveh available for someone like Bri'el. You, with your contacts and knowledge, managed to help The Movement For Reform Judaism, to facilitate this special moment by co-ordinating with the Yardenit for us to do this in the Jordan. This is the first time that a Christian site has been used to co-ordinate a Jewish Mikveh Tevilah and was a little piece of history in the making! We also through your contacts, had the joy of planting an olive tree with you, at Neot Kedomim to celebrate our conversion and becoming part of the Jewish people. It was an emotional and wonderful moment which you also (along with the Mikveh Tevilah) managed to capture on camera for us, so we had the beautiful memories to take home. It was ten amazing, very Jewish, days to begin our journey into life as Ger Tzedek, and the days we spent with you were very much the highlight. You have so much patience with a couple whose needs are so special, and we now have the visual proof that you are able as a guide, to achieve the impossible when given a challenge!! For that we are so grateful and so is our Shul of Menorah in North Cheshire. We will meet again in Israel I am sure. Until then dear friend this is just SHALOM not goodbye!!

WE ARRIVED AT HAIFA ON A CRUISE SHIP TO FIND THE GUIDE ,WHO WE HAD BOOKED WITH, AND LIASED WITH, WAS SICK!! ELI TOOK OVER, SORTED OUT A BETTER ITINARY THAN WE HAD ACTUALLY PLANNED AND WE HAD THE BEST DAY EVER. READ THIS..........Hello Eli, This is just an e-mail of thank-you for all you did for us, rescuing us when our guide let us down!! If you remember, you took over when we arrived at Haifa on a cruise ship to find our private guide ill !! Perhaps it was fate, because with you we had an amazing day touring the sights of Christian Galilee, fitting in all the sights such as "the Jesus boat" the Yardenit and the Tabgha (site of the feeding of the multitudes) that we so wanted to see!! To say you only put our intended itinerary together an hour before we met was unbelievable......nearly as amazing as the restaurant you picked out for us to sample "St Peter's fish" by the lake of Galilee!! We intend to visit The Holy Land again, and if we do I really hope you can be our guide again. Next time we will book with you in the first place!! Best Wishes. "The Simpson Family"...........boy did you get some laughs from that!! (October 2013)

THE GUY TO VISIT BETHLEHEM WITH.

Reviewed June 14, 2014

WE USED ELI AS A GUIDE TO GO TO BETHLEHEM AND PARTS OF JERUSALEM. WE HAD A FANTATSTIC DAY , FAR MORE MEANINGFUL AND MEMORABLE THAN GOING ON A GROUP TOUR BY BUS.THIS THE EMAIL WE SENT HIM..........Dear Eli. or perhaps we should say, as you taught us - Shalom? We just wanted to say that we have just arrived back from Israel, and wanted to thank-you so much for the lovely day we spent with you in Bethlehem. It is a place we have always dreamed of visiting, but as we told you when we first contacted you, we didn't realise that not all guides can go there with tourists. You were so knowledgable, even telling us 'English' about the origins of the story of St George and the Dragon, which we did not realise came from Bethlehem!! We are hoping to come again to Israel, so that we can spend time in Galilee. So hopefully you as our new found friend will be able to guide and tell us all about the wonderful Christian heritage in the area. We will contact you nearer the time!! Hope you like the picture??
