Duna provided an amazing and memorable full-day tour of the Cinque Terre for our family of 6, ranging in age from 6 - 60+.  She designed a tour that took us to see the popular places throughout the entire region, as well as leading us off the beaten path to teach us about the history of the land, the people, and the agriculture.  Duna was very flexible to incorporate our interests throughout the day while managing to meet the differing needs of children and adults alike.  She took the time to teach us about the unique aspects of each town we visited, she pre-emtively made lunch reservations at a child-friendly restaurant, and she dedicated extra time to make sure everyone had the oportunity to do waht they wanted.  In just one day we spent time touring the cities and into the hillsides, taking the train and the ferry between various towns, hiking for the adults, time at the beach for the kids, and of course, lots of photos and souvenir shopping.  Duna even stayed in touch with us for the remainder of our trip through Italy offering us suggestions and recommendations for what to do and see throughout the rest of our trip.  The kids all say that the Cinque Terre and their time with Duna was the best part of their trip to Italy!

I would highly recommend hiring Duna Illiano as a private guide to tour the Cinque Terre area of Italy. I was attempting to set up tour of Cinque Terre for our family of four (parents and our kids ages 16 & 18). We were fortunate enough to be referred to Duna and thank goodness we were because we spent a spectacular day touring with Duna and were able to cover so much and see and do what we as a family wanted to do (so much better than large group tour where you are on the tour schedule and agenda). Duna is bilingual & spoke english our native language. She really knows and was able to explain the history of the area and the architecture. She brought us to some great food stops (which kids loved!) and was really just able to cater the tour to exactly what we wanted to see and do. Duna has a wonderful personality, truly felt like a friend that we had known forever spending the day with her. We would not hesitate to recommend her for your tour of the Cinque Terre. Enjoy!
