Best Tea Ceremony in China

Reviewed April 25, 2019

I have seen many tea ceremonies in China, and even many in Japan, but Miki is definitely the best Tea Master I have seen in China before. She assures me that she had a teacher too, so perhaps there are better, but it is very difficult to come across people with real passion and dedication to studying and practicing cultural arts in China, so I feel quite blessed to have attended Miki's class. The class itself was mostly watching her great ceremony and learning about the different types of tea and how they should be served and presented. I now know a lot more about the different types of tea in China and how to get the most out of the tea tasting experience. I think to learn to do a formal tea ceremony myself will take many months of dedication!

A Great Day in Shanghai with Miki Wei

Reviewed April 24, 2019

Miki herself met me at my hotel on the north end of the Bund and we had a great day visiting notable site and neighborhoods in Shanghai. Miki was professional, organized and knowledgable about her city. A highlight was participating in a tea ceremony - an area of particular focus and expertise for Miki. I came away with a lot of really good information and a whole new appreciation for both tea and its significance in this culture.

Shanghai Tour with Miki

Reviewed April 21, 2019

We spent an evening and a day with Miki in Shanghai March 2019. Miki toured us through markets, alley ways, parks and the tall tower introducing us to the city she is so proud of. Everything was beautifully executed and Miki was charming and fun to follow after. Her energy was contagious. We tasted many of the special foods Shanghai is famous for. We found her informative and well prepared to show us around. Her driver seemed to appear magically whenever we finished wandering a sight. She had maps and pictures to complement our tour and understanding of Shanghai. She also surprised us by reciting and singing ancient poetry to us in the Yu Gardens and serving us tea in the park. We will remember fondly our time with Miki.

Miki was perfect for business guide and translator

Reviewed April 18, 2019

I used Miki as my guide and translator for some factory/showroom visits. She was a perfect guide - she helped me coordinate travel and worked directly with my contacts to schedule arrivals, etc. She was also great as a translator, and 'cultural guide' for my meetings and business meals - she kept a perfect 'flow'.. without her I would have had a very difficult time understanding context. Thanks Miki!

Professional, Knowledgeable, and Organized

Reviewed April 17, 2019

We had arranged a three day tour of Hangzhou, Shanghai and neighborhood areas, including airport pickup and drop. Miki is well organized and arranged the trip according to our interests and requirements. She is very enthusiastic about her profession and does take efforts to tell all the historical aspects of each place of visit. In addition, she does carry a tab to clarify any of our queries and show different snaps. Our group is more than happy for her specific sugesstion to visit the Impressions show at the West gate. She had also arranged for bullet train tickets to Shanghai. She is a professional tea maker and does give good understanding about Chinese tea culture during her tea farm visits. She also took us to tongli/shouzou for visiting the gardens and the water canals (Don't forget to request her to sing a song, she is practicing music). In Shanghai, she took us around various historical and point of interests, including shopping zones. I would recommend her to anyone planning to have a personalized and memorable trips.
