In the period op octobre 27th untill novembre 5th we had a guided Tour in the Pantanal with an outstandig guide, Fisher Sousa. He showed us nest of otters, caiman and also two swimming jaguars. His English is very good en het is a real nice fellow to be with.

We were very lucky to have him as our guide as we heard from other people that they had seen nothing but had been waiting in a boat for several day to spot something. Fisher is very familiair with the Pantanal scene and know preciesly were to find wildlife.

I recently went on a six day/five night birding tour with Fisher Souza to the Pantanal in July 2016. I would strongly recommend him as a guide if you are interested in this area, especially if you are a birder.

Fisher was one of the strongest birding experts I've seen in the past years. Given he has been providing tours in the Pantanal for over twenty years, he has near instant recognition of bird species and was almost never wrong when compared against the field guide. Frequently he was able to recognize rare bird calls and through the use of playback almost magically brought them into view. Some of my favorite birds of the trip would not have been possible without him.

Outside of birding, the communication from him was very clear with quick responses to questions via email. After reviewing my interests and budget, he was able to plan a full trip with visits to three different lodges and ample variation in environment to ensure I would maximize the amount of birds I saw. Some of our best birding was done on the road side from the comforts of his truck.

During a six day trip I had 165 confirmed species, many of which were lifers for me, and numerous high quality photos. During the boat excursions, we saw six jaguars, including a gorgeous mother and her two cubs playing during the sunset. Fisher always seemed to know where to see the best wildlife and during my trip I was able to see night monkeys, giant otters, a tapir, an anaconda killing a caiman, and a giant ant eater.

The entire trip was smooth from pick up at my hotel to drop off at the airport. He was a pleasure to spend a week with and very courteous. I would highly recommend Fisher to anyone.

In October, 2015 we did a 32-day birding and wildlife tour of Brazil. One of the highlights of our trip was the 9 days we spent with Fisher birding and viewing game in the N Pantanal. Fisher arranged and accompanied us on a private, all-inclusive custom tour that included stops from Chapada to Porto Joffre.

Thanks to Fisher, we identified approximately 215 species of birds and saw and photographed numerous other wildlife, including spectacular sightings of Jaguar.

Fisher’s knowledge of the local birds, animals and insects and where to find them was extraordinary. In addition, he tailored our tour to our specific interests and physical abilities and was fun to be with.

We feel as though we have made a good friend for life and would highly recommend Fisher to anyone interested in seeing the birds and wildlife of the N. Pantanal.

Fisher guided us recently from Cuiaba to Porto Joffre and Araras Lodge, both birding and boating for Jaguar and rainforest creatures. We had a wonderful time with him and he speaks English well. He's very patient and knowledgeable (particularly about birds) and will go at your own speed if you are a photographer or bird watcher or just plain Jaguar hunter.

We met Fisher at the Araras Eco Lodge and were lucky enough to be able spend a day birding with him. It was our best day in the Pantanal and by far the most productive. We thoroughly recommended Fisher to anyone who wants to enjoy the wonders of the Pantanal in very pleasant and intelligent company.
