Ismail of Morocco Time Travel, came highly recommended to me from a friend who used his services for her trip to Morocco 2 year ago. It took no time after our initial contact to know that I'd be in great hands with Ismail. I wanted to spend 2 weeks in Morocco and experience the imperial cities, the country and the desert but having limited planning time, and limited knowledge of the country with its great distances between points of interest, I was not confident planning it myself.

Considering my specific needs, Ismail expertly drafted an initial itinerary tying together my desired major destinations, and filled in important, and fun points of interests, especially during long drives, that I would not have known about on my own. As I was feeling indecisive how far north, how far south, I could or wished to get to, I was incessantly emailing him questions, concerns and changes of plans. Ismail had the patience of a saint and remained professional addressing each of my concerns with the changing plans and offering his recommendations at each point. In the end, my days flowed beautifully, with enough rest time and wonderful stops at strategic locations. He assigned just the right amount of expert guides as needed, 1/2 day or full day, that perfectly complemented the time exploring on my own.As experiencing the local culture was important to me, Ismail booked riads that could only be booked locally. They were wonderful places where I got to meet locals, had delicious fresh food, often made on site. At a riad in the country, I was taken to their own barn to see their cow and sheep which was pure delight to me. At the desert, I experienced my first camel ride, led by a sweet and gentle camel man, followed by a magical starry sky - all dreams of mine that got fulfilled on this trip.Last, but most certainly not least, Ismail provided a driver who went way over and beyond meeting my expectations, who was extremely safe, enthusiastic and passionate about his work, smart, fun and funny and an overall caring individual, to say nothing of his most energizing international play list!I appreciate the precious time and confusion Ismail saved me not having to plan the trip myself, but more importantly I am grateful for his trustworthiness and professionalism to make my visit to Morocco a dream come true that I will not soon forget. It is no surprise that my friend stayed in touch with him and highly recommended him to me as I in turn highly recommend him to others to have an unforgettable trip to Morocco.

My friend and I (2 females) traveled all around Morocco for 15 days in early May with Morocco Time Travel and had a terrific experience.

My sister and her husband had used Ismail two years ago for their honeymoon trip, so we immediately felt comfortable reaching out to him. We started our planning none too early. With only about a month to plan during high tourist season, we were grateful to receive timely and thoughtful responses, as we had no sense of the territory and required plenty of information.

Our itinerary was probably fairly standard, but Ismail helped us to personalize it a bit and put us in the hands of an excellent driver (who was thoughtful, smart & more than fluent in English). We were interested in seeing “Goats in Trees” and weren’t sure how much of a logistical strain that might be. Ismail quickly assured us that we could accommodate it within our schedule and highlighted for us that the organic way to find the goats would be in a region south of Essaouira. “Just ask your driver” to take you down there. Ismail made everything seem quite easy and possible. And you know what – it was! Coming upon a herd of goats and watching them climb the argan trees in a somewhat remote area one afternoon was one of the highlights of our trip.

During the trip, they were quite flexible and helpful in every possible way. We had managed not to have hotel/riads reservations in place for two destinations even up until the day before arrival. But, they were patient and ultimately managed to secure our lodging for us, even when many places were fully booked up. Both riads were great choices, and I would recommend either.

Ismail was in contact with us throughout the trip to make sure everything was going fine. And, since our schedules matched up, it was a nice touch that he invited us to coffee in Marrakesh so we could meet in person.
