I first contacted Amith and found out that the best way to experience this beautiful country is with a local guide.After reading through many reviews by others, I felt acquainted already and decided to give it a shot. Amith very quickly helped to plan out a full 9 day itinerary after hearing that my friends and i prefer "nature, adventures and animals". The itineray was splendidly detailed and very thoughtful. To our plasent surprise, when we arrived, not a single minute was wasted on things we didnt like. Amith is passionate about Sri Lanka's culture and landscape, his people and also their way of living. He has an advanced and open mind, and has so much love for his country- despite it not being the most advanced country. Travelling with someone like him makes the trip extremely educational and engaging. We not only got to see the mesmerising country, but was also introduced to snippets of the historical happenings of Sri Lanka. In Amith, we found a true friend who cares, appreciates and value our presence in his country. I know that we will miss Sri Lanka upon our return home, and that is because Amith has done such an amazing role bringing the beauty of the country before our eyes, touching our hearts. We are lucky to experience Sri Lanka and to have fallen in love with the county. And Sri Lanka is lucky to have Amith. Thanks alot, Amith. Til we meet again. 

I had the pleasure to travel with Amith for two weeks in Sri Lanka. I can not recommend him highly enough as a guide. I was in Sri Lanka for a business photo tour, shooting photos for travel magazines. So obviously Amith had to fulfill a different task than usual, instead of guiding me to the classical tourist spots he had to find the best point of views for photographers. And although not being a photographer - I can honestly say Amith did so well. He learned very quickly what I was after and to see things with the eye of a photographer. He was always good company and fun to travel with. Supportive, protective, a good organiser and simply a lovely person. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he became more an assistant than a typical tourist guide. He never complained about being up early for sunrise or climbing down a mountain in the darkness after sunset. Amith was flexible and spontaneous, changing plans according to weather and light conditions I felt safe and well looked after till the very last minute. 

As a travel photographer I travel the world each month and I know many guides - and I can truly say, this was one of the best trips and Amith the best guide ever.

I have travelled a lot and known many guides but Amith has certainly been the best. His English and Italian are excellent. His driving is superb and safe. His information and love of his country endless. His enthusiasm for his job and concern for his clients comfort and enjoyment commendable.
