Douro Valley, full day. Well worth the drive time from Porto. Spectacular river valley views of terraced vineyards. We took a short boat ride and after that stopped at two small vineyards. Fonseca first, sun shining, orange trees in bloom, absolutely an idyllic place to sip a couple of glasses of port. Then on to Maos y Irmaos for a delicious lunch with Rafael and wine tasting. Thank you Pedro for a very fun and informative tour of this area.

As first time visitors to Northern Portugal, we had a long list of "must see" locations and "must do" experiences.  Pedro not only got us where we wanted to be, but also provided valuable insights and guidance that went well beyond what the Internet offered.  He knows Porto because it is  his home.  And he knows areas like the Douro Valley because he is passionate about Portugal, which makes traveling with Pedro a genuine and joyful experience.
