Dear Govand, thank You so much for this impressing day in the amazing city of Erbil !!! We have been travelling through Kurdistan and had a day with Govand in Erbil. He picked up us at our hotel and gave us a ride+walk through all neberhoods of the city. Govand is a best informed guide, who is able and willing to respect the interest of his guests. He showed us the several faces of the city, talked about history, architecture, people, social and economic circumstances, and answered all of our questions about the city and the country. He has an impressive humour as well, and loves and knows city and landscapes, wich You can feel immediatly by talking with him. Haval should be your first choice as a tour guide when visiting Erbil. He is extremely nice and friendly and has deep knowledge of the history and culture of Kurdistan. I booked my two day tour at very short notice, and Haval put together a fascinating itinerary including sights within Erbil plus the Hamilton Road, Lalish, Acre and the Mar Mattai monastery. He also knows great places to eat and drink tea, and is also a safe driver. So, all in all, I recommend Haval to any visitor to Erbil.

I really would like to recommend Haval as a tour guide. He is a fantastic guide. Very passionate, knowledgeable and humble. He has a profound insight in islam, Iraqi and Kurdistan's complex History. Haval really knows where to go and what to see, and he will show you all the beautiful wonders of Iraqi Kurdistan. The drivning is smooth, safe and comfortable and Haval knows exactly how to deal with people, Peshmerga/police or Iraqi army men at checkpoints. He will also present you the culinary dishes of his home country (delicious, healthy, and the yogurt is fantastic) . Thus,  if you intend to visit amazing Iraqi Kurdistan, Haval is the person who should take you, your friends or family around. It will be a memory for life! Thank

Haval Qaraman has been a wonderful guide for me for past 2 days taking me to Mar Mattai, Lalish and Alqosh. The second day was to Slemania.  He's very knowledgeable about history and culture of this area and his English is great. An excellent driver too and a genuinely nice person.
