Masks are worn by all, antiseptic hand sanitizer is readily available and provided at all shops and building entrances, along with temperature checks, all free of charge. Having recently spent 30 days all over the country, I can attest I have never felt safer.

This was my sixth tour with Tony. He knows what I like to see and so and so we plan an itinerary which includes wild-life, history and battlefields and also simply beautiful places. We went to the North West province and the Northern Cape and into the Kalahari to Witsand Nature Reserve where we self catered - which proved a bit difficult as we had no electricity until late in the evening so we sat in the dark and listened to nature at its best. We then returned to "civilisation" and visited the wonderful Kimberley and Bloemfontein where for the third time we visited the fabulous Boer War museum. No matter how many times you go it is still so interesting and educational. Although in the last couple of days I had the worry of whther or not my flight home would proceed because of the Covid 19 virus, it did not spoil a wonderful holiday and I shall be back in South Africa agin as soon as the world returns to normal.    

Just completed a great south african adventure with Tony Horn with Bush Junkies Safaris. Originating from Johannesburg driving to Bloemfontein for a city tour to review the Boer War Museum, various monuments, statues, the city & its culture and lastly Tony’s precious family. Just a side note: Tony’s knowledge of the Boer War and various battlefields and monuments is unmatched, along with his keen eye for photography. Tony also has extensive knowledge of the countries fauna, flora, ornithology, as well as the country’s/provinces past history.

Onward we traveled cruising the scenic roads and stopping off at towns along the way to the Karoo National Park, Cape Town and traveling the Garden Route to countless other locations while experiencing all the sights & sounds, unspoiled oceans-beaches and parks surrounding this wonderful country and natural treasures. Abundant plant life and spectacular wildlife coupled with an astounding diversity of big game, besides breathless sights of this great country were a daily blessing.

Tony Horn was incredible! He made this well-organized trip even better by making each day so very interesting, exciting and fun. Tony displays wonderful constant care, knowledge of nature and the African history with true professionalism. Most of all, it was his friendship that carried every day! Tony’s wealth of knowledge of the country/provinces, its people, culture, sights-sounds and wildlife are unmatched. Tony also organized the accommodations, meals and stops along the way making this a remarkable and rewarding memorable experience. As you travel with Tony, it seems he knows just about everyone, so it makes the trip so enjoyable to hear the conversations and experiences from other guides, residents and tourists.

What can I say about the people of Africa…they constantly show their warmth and open arms to make a trip a truly memorable safe experience and tremendous hospitality in every way possible.
