I had such a fantastic day with Leonardo in Recife and Olinda on 13 June! At the time of booking I had a special request to see some of the locations where the film O Agente Secreto was filmed and he took on this challenge like a star- even joined a special group tour before my arrival to learn more. Got to see the most important places mentioned and seen in the film. Of course, also learned a lot about the history of Recife/Olinda and about the local music and culture incl. the Frevo dance originated from Recife. Saw the big puppets used in the carnaval (own museum) and had a lovely O Agente Secreto drink at Cha Mate Brasilia (in the film…) Anyway, amazing guide that will do everything for you to make sure you have the best day! I was solo but he can do groups and solo travellers. Hope I get a chance to visit Pernambuco again and I will certainly book Leo as guide again if I get the chance. Pernambuco é meu pais!!

Leo took us out for a day tour of Recife and Olinda with an itinerary fully tailored to our requests, pairing his expertise of the area with his charming personality to ensure it was interesting and engaging throughout. We stopped for lunch at a spot that is a favourite with the locals and it was a hit with the whole group - there was something there for everyone. When the tour ended he gave us some great recommendations for food and drinks into the evening, very helpful as it was our first time in the city. In addition to our tour, as it was during the carnival period he helped set us up with a camarote. This is something we didn’t know about before the trip but ended up being key to us having a great day, it allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves whilst also feeling the vibe of the Galo da Madrugada. The following day he took us to the carnival in Olinda for Enquanto Isso na Sala da Justiça, a superhero themed event that wasn’t like anything we’ve been to before. It had a more chilled vibe that was perfect for us to enjoy the experience in a more relaxed environment before our departing flight later that day. Overall we had an amazing experience in Recife and that is 100% down to Leo, he was an amazing host for the city and I couldn’t recommend him more. Now a friend for life, see you next year! 🔥🕺🐔

Leonardo is a very knowledgeable guide. He would tell you every thing there is to know about the sights in his home town. He will also give you insight about life in Recife especially how the middle class lived and their aspiration to move up. He can tell you their education and health care for the common people. After spending a day with him, you came out knowing a lot about Recife but at the same time appreciate how the Brazian have to struggle to improve their life. Thank you for a great day in Recife.

Leonardo Ferreira took my wife and I on a most interesting tour of Recife Old Town and Olinda. He is extremely knowledgeable and very enthusiastic! He explained a great deal of the history of the towns as well as stopping when ever we wanted for photos and coffees too! A really nice guy, well organised, prompt and reliable too. 

There was nothing else I could ask for, considering the 5hours freetime I had to spend in Recife. In a very short-time frame, Leonard accepted to pick me up at Recibe aiport, showed me the best of Recife and Olinda, followed by bringing me back to the Recife Aiport. Leo was quick when replying, very punctual, nice and easy going, with full of knowledge about local cultures. He is a certified tourist guide, who has been doing this since ages. His long experience allowed him to become an excellent guides in Recife area. Guess who I will speak next time and I want another tour around Recife.
