My husband and I did a 10 day tour with Dam. 

From the moment we met we felt very comfortable and very quickly formed a good friendship.

Dam was always very prompt and organised for our activity’s and accommodation that we had planned and even added a couple of things in that we didn’t know about.Dam is very knowledgeable and passionate about his country which is nice to see in a young man.

Dam’s driver Sam did a great job, we felt very safe at all times with his driving skills.Both boys were always very respectful and had great manners.

We would highly recommend Dam as a guide.

Writing a review is too hard as there is so much praise and thanks I would like to give Dam and Sam and it will never be reflected as well as I would like but I will give it a go.

We contacted Dam based on recommendations we had seen online to ask him to review our itinerary we had created and he has been amazing since then.

Before we travelled to Sri lanka he reviewed the places we wanted to visit and suggested other sites we may like and could fit in during our 28 days (with no obligation to book him). He was also flexible with payments agreeing for us to pay him in installments that worked for us. They were not the cheapest however when you look at the comfortable car and service you get compared to some other drivers we saw it is definitely worth the small extra amount! We also got two people, a driver (sam) and a guide (dam) to explain things during the drives.

When we landed he greeted us after our long flight and helped move our cases to their amazingly comfortable and spacious minivan (which I would really recommend especially if you are staying a long time).

During the holiday nothing was ever too much and our holiday remained flexible based on what we felt like doing as well as what the weather was like. He often called people for us to arrange visits or arranged restaurants based on his knowledge and what we wanted to eat. He made our holiday so smooth that eventually we stopped worrying what we were doing the next day and left it to Dam, absolutely perfect. He will also understand the pace of holiday you want and will not be pushy should you not want to do something.

Dam has amazing English and accompanied us to historical sites and other excursions to explain/translate as the English of some SriLankans can be basic...this was a massive bonus as it meant we left sites truly understanding. He was also not too intrusive, leaving us to have meals alone once he had made sure our order was understood (especially as my wife is vegetarian).

Over the 28 days we got to know Dam quite well during the drives and excursions. He is a kind hearted, friendly, funny gentleman that we will miss. He is a tour guide, translator, photographer, shopper, historian, wild life expert and much more. I especially enjoyed teaching him some British slang that I hope he will use with future clients. I can completely understand why he is the top rated guide on tour hq. If you want a perfect trip to sri lanka that is stress free....go with Dam. You will not regret it!

We were also driven by Sam who accompanied Dam. Sam's driving is superb in a country that has hectic driving conditions. He makes you feel extremely safe allowing you to enjoy looking out the window at the variety of wildlife.

I hope this review has given you an overview of the experience and service you will receive should you choose to go with Dam, which will be one that enables you to leave Sri Lanka understanding why they call it 'a country like no other'
