It is hard to write a good review about Derik: It was just perfect and the best guide experiance in our Caribbean vacation with in total 5 guides on different islands. Derik was an excellent driver and an perfect guide for about a week. We felt good and safe in every situation. The trips were designed by us and Derik brought his local experience into the planning phase. The tours were a very good experiance. He supported us in every situation very well to give us the best holiday experiance. He was also very flexible as we had to change some parts of our plan. In sum we got much more than expected. Thank you, Derik!

During my first visit to Trinidad, Derik  gave me four full day tours in differnet parts of the Country and showed me  the diversity of the country, the people and of the great food. 

I can highly recommend Derik, as a very punctual, reliable, knowledgeable, flexibel and easy going tour guide. 

He is extremely professijnal and dillignet. it was a great pleaseure to spend time in Trinidad with his guidance.

Derik was an excellent, helpful and flexible guide who gave us a marvellous tour.

I took a day tour with Derik through Port of Spain, the sugar cane fields of the south and Maracas Bay. Derik is extremely knowledgable about his home country of Trinidad & Tobago. There was not one question I asked that he could not provide a very detailed answer to. Derik is a kind person and I felt very well cared for by him during our day together.

Thank you for the four very interesting days we spent with you in Trinidad Derik. Not only did you escort us to many of Trinidad's most significant parts but you also educated us on several hundred years of your pair of islands' history following the abolition of Slavery. It was good to learn of the different peoples who had come to or or had been brought to Trinidad/Tobago, which results in the "polyglot" of ethnic mixtures and beliefs who share together in seeming harmony, the two islands today. We enjoyed sampling with you the variety of foods from the "posh" yacht club, the excellent cuisine at Neil and his wife's residence plus the simple cafe style "pick and mix" restaurants.  The Pitch Lake was a welcome unique experience and we were thrilled after visiting each of Yerrete, Asa Wright, the private gardens of the Garden Centre owners and Trinidad's very own Wildfowl Trust. The home, conversations and gardens of Neil and his wife were a privilege to experience. The Hindu Temples and funeral details were also of interest, as were the yet to open prisons!  We are grateful for further information on "The Last Train To San Fernando"! Derik (with a "slip of the pen" I ), you did us proud. Sorry we did not get to meet your mum or the Arch Bishop.
