TheToubkal is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains. It is a non-technical summit requiring only a reasonable degree of fitness and determination. Toubkal (often called Jbel Toubkal) is easily reached from Marrakech we enjoyed a great 2 day trek with Mohamed.

Mohammed was our guide during our first visit to the Atlas mountains in 2013. He met us at Imlil and guided us for five days, including a dawn ascent of Jebal Toubkhal. The whole experience was fantastic, and we have since returned in 2014 and 2015. Mohammed was full of information about the area, including its natural history, and about the lives of the people who live in the mountain villages. His English is very good, and he made an enormous effort to ensure that we enjoyed our holiday.

Toubkal ascent 2 days A few days ago we hiked to the summit of Mt. Toubkal in two days. The surroundings are simply beautiful and we had an amazing time! Since we are relatively inexperienced, our guide Mohamed was very helpful and patient. Mohamed and his team prepared wonderful meals and provided us with a good tent to spend the night. For people who are inexperienced in multi-day hiking (just like us), we would recommend the Toubkal ascent in 3 days. We think this will make the hike more pleasant and balanced. Overall, we would highly recommend Mohamed and his team as your guide in the Atlas mountains. Mark

Mohamed and his group are fantastic, having lead trips with a UK company to Morocco it was great to meet Mohamed and his team and really feel we were not only well looked after but actually making a difference in a country that has a lot less than we have. I also utilised Hamid's skills when making a personal winter trip to climb Jebel Toubkal, which was organised fully by Hamid from airport pick up to hotel accommodation and food. Highly recommended !!
