Guide review

Reviewed July 10, 2016

We arrived into Kathmandu with no firm plans of travel.  Our daughter had volunteered 5 years earlier which brought us to this amazing city and country.  We asked at our hotel desk for a tour of Kathmandu.  It was arranged and we were very lucky, to have Mark show us the sites and sadly the devastation, but the beauty shone through.  Mark was an excellent guide and we wish him all the best in his chosen field of employment.

Mark was an awesome tour guide. He displayed his vast knowledge of Kathmandu History and Nepalese history. He answered all of my questions and overall was a very kind and patient man. I will definitely return to Kathmandu and hopefully Mark will be able to be my tour guide again.

The best guide ever!

Mark was a great guide. I went to Kathmandu for work, and my mother accompanied me. She visited Kathmandu and the surrondings with him, I joined during the weekend.

Mark has a deep knowledge about Nepal and he is very interesting to listen too. We had great conversations. In addition, he is a very nice person, very respectuous and kind.

He took special care of my mother, who could not walk easily at all times. He was also very flexible and ready to have a full program on the same day.

I definitely recomend Mark as a guide!

Great day!

Reviewed July 1, 2016

Mark was out guide for a day in the mountains near Nagarkot. He met us early at the hotel, was nice to wait for us to finish breakfast and we set out. He detailed everything that's planned, was very nice and polite. As we started out he explained things about Nepal and the area we're at along the way. We opted for a shorter hike and he ensured the driver knew where to wait for us. The area was beautiful, Mark knew a lot of detail about the villages and towns along the way. We even stopped to talk to a family and the kids were very cute. After getting to town of Nala we visited few temples and walked around town, and Mark kept providing us lots of info about them. Overall we had a great day, we got a glimpse into the way of life and it was very eye opening. Mark's english is very good and of course that's a huge plus. I'd use him as a guide again and would highly recommend him to other travelers.

Mark Shrestha guide

Mark was able to explain the significance of the holy places with deep respect. Being aware of our interests he also arranged for us to visit the Baha’i Centre and was tolerant and understanding of other beliefs. He had a wide knowledge of the places we visited and could explain it all very clearly to us in English. Wherever we went he was able to relate to all we came in contact with in a friendly and positive manner. Mark was always concerned for our welfare and called us to ensure that the accommodation was suitable and that all our needs had been met. We are truly indebted to him as he was there for us during and after the earthquake. A most dedicated and professional guide!
