Diana is a wonderful person and tourguide. She gives more information than the average tour guide becaue  of her knowledge of Sicilys history. . She provides indepth knowledge with great analysis and commentary. On a human level, she helped me arrange for tickets to the Greek Theater in Siracusa, recommended the nicest eateries and gelaterias and made sure our car service knew where to pick us up. This is my second tour with Diana and I wouldnt think of doing it with anyone else.

Diana was, for the 17th time, the tour guide for Arba Sicula's 24th tour of Sicily. I couldn't imagine a more perfect guide, particularly for a group of somewhat older Americans, most having roots in Sicily and then NY. Being perfectly bi-lingual is a rare asset, but one that's Diana. Her knowledge is like a history book--which is so important in history-rich Sicily. Almost everything we saw as part of the tour, or passed, she had an encyclopaedic knowledge of--from any of the ruins we passed, to Italian and Sicilan political history, to the Allied landings in WWII to the churches and other individual destinations. Interspersed with the history lessons were anecdotes, stories and even recipes for Sicilian delicacies. She taught us a "word of the day" in Sicilian, and often some colloquial expressions, and explained so many things that otherwise would be mysterious. She seemed to know everyone, everywhere, too. Diana's mettle was really tested, however when my father took ill on the this trip--she got the cabs, took us to the hospitals (two) and was the perfect intermediary and translator to an unfamilar health-care system. This escapade took one afternoon--thankfully when we had two tour guides on that day. We'll be forever indebted to her for her kindness and knowledge. I can't imagine any tour guide of Sicily being any better, honestly.

Diana was our tour guide for a Shade O Matic trip.  We went with our 9 year old son as part of a

Group tour.  He was mesmerized with her.  He said that he would rather listen to Diana then play on his IPAD.  She took fantastic care of us and she made the trip interesting.  We learned a lot from her vast knowledge of everything we went to see.

I have been to Sicily on many occassions and I always love having Diana as my local guide. She has such a fountain of knowledge, a great story teller and is us full of passion for her island, history and its culture. She is one of the best guides I know. 

My husband and I have toured Sicily with Diana as our guide four times. We have been to several cities in every Province. The woman is a walking encyclopedia. I believe there isn't one inch of Sicily that she doesn't know. Besides being knowledgeable, she is most efficient, personable, funny, dramatic and can make Ancient History come alive. You'd swear that you are being swooped away with Persephone!! If you want to know Sicily -- Diana is your gal. Do you want to speak English, Italian, Sicilian or German -- Diana is the Guide for you. She is unequivocally THE BEST.
