Roberto took six of us around Herculaneum for two hours. He is low key, personable, and very knowledgeable, not only about the site but about classical history in general. His archeology background informed his explanation of the excavations themselves, as well as the sights to see. His English is excellent, and easy to understand (important in a guide!) and was able to answer any questions we threw at him. He timed the visits to the most popular spots well so that we weren't battling other groups. He felt like a friend by the end of the tour. Highly recommended.

Roberto was great! He picked us up promptly, and narrated everything along the drive to Herculaneum - very knowledgeable and likable! Roberto knew everything about Herculaneum and was able to answer every one of the many questions we had as we walked through antiquity with him. He was always looking for ways to add value, probing as to where we might like to eat, visit and walk!Roberto then took us to a wonderful restaurant on the Amalfi coast for lunch and made sure we had a stunning view while eating a variety of Italian food, which included their special Lemon cake! Highly recommended!

Roberto was fantastic. He shared all aspects of ancient life in Pompeii with us during our tour and took us to places we would never have visited on our own. Roberto made our trip to Pompeii memorable. All 15 of us kept commenting during the tour that we were so happy to be doing it and that was thanks to Roberto.
