The tours I took in Beijing were amazing! JOHN showed me the city and I had the opportunity to use subway, buses, and visit different regions of the city. He taught me a lot about Beijing. Then, MARK, the guide who took me to the opera and the acrobatic show, was a very nice, friendly, polite, and patient guy. He even stayed with me for dinner as it was Christmas Eve and I was alone! We had a 16.5-hour layover in Beijing and saw that it was possible to apply for a 24-hour visa at the airport in order to experience some of the attractions in Beijing. We wrote a wish list to John Terry on tourHQ, and he gave us a description of what he could arrange. We went to see the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, ate at a local restaurant with Peking duck, and did some shopping at the Silk Market.
