Phurba Namgyel is very knowledgeable about history of Bhutan, Buddhism, the customs of his country &  medicinal plants native to Bhutan.  When we tour a temple, we ran across a little boy who had fell. He had bruised & bleeding knee. Phurba prepared & used medicinal plants for little boy's knee. He is very considerate & friendly. He prepared us for hike up to Tiger's Nest Monastery. Everywhere we travelled, Phurba made sure my lactose intolerant was known & made sure i had other food to eat. He has great sense of humor. He has an eye for taking great pictures. 

Phurba is a very good guide. He knows a lot about Boudism and the Bhutanees culture. You are in good hands because he arrange everything he can. He is 100% reliable and always correct , a, appointment is an appointment. Is he 100% perfect? No. His english could be beter but mine is also not 100%. If we went back to Bhutan I would not hesitate to contact Phurba.
