My friend Marilyn and I traveled with Richard Peter for 6 days. He is truly a remarkable guide. His attention to safety, and vast knowledge of the animals and environment are superb. He is punctual, professional and cares deeply about his work.

Richard spotted a leopard, without binoculars, in a tree very far away! We saw the " Big Five " plus so much more. He knew dozens of facts about the history, breeds, species, and culture. We were in Kenzan Tent Camp, Kati Kati Tent Camp, Planet Lodge and also the Serena Lodge. The selection of loding was perfect for us.

He patiently worked the Jeep so I could get stunning photographs too!!

Both Marilyn and I have traveled to over 35 countries, and have hired guides at least 19 times around the world.

We went to Lake Manyara and Taragire with Richard as our private guide, he was more then excellent. He had a big knowledge about, culture, nature and the animals. Furthermore he was  excellent to track the animals. He is always helpfull and very kind. He is a good driver and there was wifi in the car. We will HIGHLY recomend Richard as a guide, and when we come back to Tanzania again there is no doubt that we would like to go with Richard again, it was a pleasure and he became our friend.

My fiancee and I booked through Good Earth Tours for a 5 day Safari (Tarangire Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Central/Northern Serengeti) and were so thankful to have been paired up with Richard. Richard brings a wealth of knowledge (around 10 years) about wildlife, the parks, and the lodges/camp sites. He navigates the vast Serengeti like we would navigate neighborhoods in our home town. He is extremely accommodating and friendly and is very passionate about his line of work. He has a natural ability to understand the types of animals you want to stop for versus the ones we have already seen. He also has a terrific eye for hidden animals and birds that we would not have spotted on our own. Richard knows the majority of the other guides too (both from Good Earth and other companies), which is great for being in the know about what is happening in the parks (predator behavior, animals we haven’t seen yet, unique situations, etc). He has a sense of urgency about him so that you can see it all. 5 out of 5 - HIGHLY RECOMMEND RICHARD!

My friend and I went on a 6-day safari with Richard through Tanzania visiting Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro National Park, and the Serengeti.  Richard made sure we were first of all comfortable and taken care of, but secondly that we saw everything we wanted to see plus some.  We came to witnessed some of the Great Migration in the Northern Serengeti and expected that we wouldn't catch some of the crossings because we were too late.  When Richard heard that crossings were happening, he made sure to let us know and rush to the location to make sure we were able to witness it.  He also made sure we saw all big five before we left.

As mentioned above, Richard is very kind and hospitable and always made sure we were comfortable and happy.  Even the staff at the lodges mentioned to us how kind he was.  I can't recommend him enough!

Great safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with a great guide - Richard. Richard gave us a memory for life, when he drove us safe through the wilderness. He has a great knowledge and experience about nature, birds, animals etc. He is kind and has a lot of patience. He spoots a lot of animals and birds and has a good feeling for good photos. We will certainly call him next time we have an opportunity to visit Tanzania.
