Your connection to the best of Slovenia

Reviewed August 31, 2014

We travelled to Slovenia in 2010 and had the pleasure of meeting Luka for a short day trip. Despite steady rains that refused to let up, Luka made sure we had an excellent experience in the perfect place to seek shelter from the downpour - the amazing caves of Slovenia. Križna Jama was stunning and was such a special location to explore and learn new photography techniques. We look forward to returning to Slovenia and Luka's expert guidance, both in his knowledge of his beautiful country and his artistry as a photographer.

The Ultimate Guide ...

Reviewed August 27, 2014

It has been my pleasure to travel with Luka Esenko twice. First to Croatia in 2012 and then Luka’s home (Slovenia) in June 2014. As both a “traveler” and a photographer, I would consider each trip a huge success. Luka is a gifted photographer and willingly shares his creative insight and technique with his workshop students. Luka also excels in logistics. His clients reap the rewards from the time he devotes to scouting locations and vast knowledge of the region. With your interests and “wish list” in mind, his planning ensures the perfect hotel, introduction to the local cuisine and culture, and the right balance between group and personal time. For the photographer he knows where to be and when to be there. And finally, Luka’s “outdoor” experience is a plus for those looking for a little more adventure. Luka is just as comfortable leading a tour through the Old Town of Ljubljana as he is guiding a group through the Julian Alps. I look forward to what he has in store for us in 2015!

Find time to do some photography with Luka Esenko!

Reviewed August 26, 2014

I have been lucky enough to attend a few of Luka Esenko's photography day trips in Slovenia (Ljubljana, Bled, Bohinj, Krizna Jama caves) as well as a 3-day custom tour to Plitvice Lakes, Croatia and a 4-day photography workshop in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Luka is a wonderful photography tour guide. Not only do you get a very local experience of each destination thanks to his extensive knowledge of the Adriatic region, you also get some fantastic photography tips and advice and always find yourself in the right place at the right time to get the shots you want for your portfolio. Luka was a fun, relaxed guide but completely on the ball when it came to the varied needs of our small group. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him whatever your level of photography, and this is a very special part of the world to visit.
