Sometimes luck is on your side and finding Ali was that scenario. He is not only knowledgeable but loves to share his knowledge. He became part of the family and kids got very much attached with him. I highly recommend brother Ali Hamza and will definitely contact him whenever had a chance to return Egypt.

Unforgettable Luxor Adventure with Ali Our Passionate and Knowledgeable Egypt Guide

Reviewed October 18, 2025

We had the absolute pleasure of having Ali as our guide for Karnak and Luxor Temples, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossus of Memnon. From the very start, Ali made everything come alive — his stories, insights, and passion for ancient Egypt drew us in completely. We learned so much from him, not just about history, but about the spirit of these incredible places. He explained everything in such a clear way and answered our many questions. He was so thorough, yet always calm and discrete, and it was lovely to see how warmly everyone greeted him along the way. Everyone at all the sites seemed to know and appreciate Ali. Such a kind and genuine man — it was truly a privilege to have met him and shared these experiences together. We will never forget our time visiting the sites of Luxor with Ali.

Ali aka Howard Carter

Reviewed March 10, 2025

Ali aka "Howard Carter". I am so glad I decided Ali as our companion for luxor visit. To call him a guide would be an insult to our new friendship. I hired rental car from Hurgada and there held up in Qena city due to traffic. Which pushed back my eta at luxor Temple by almost 1.5 hours. Ali patiently waited and prompted with directions. Once we met, it was smooth sailing there on. Ali is Mr Carter of Luxor. His vast experience and knowledge reflects the way he explains each sight in detail. Ali animated the historic stories of Luxor, Karnak, valley of the kings and Hateseptuh temple. My wife was taken ill with stomach bug after the first night. Ali came to rescue, picked up the right medication and refreshments. Apart from his knowledge of Egyptology, he also rescued from bent police who created unnecessary problems despite having all papers for driving. If you want a companion and learn the history of the iconic sights of Luxor, Ali is the man. He will put your well being first through out the tour. Ali is a local legend and everyone knows Ali. He is a living Pharaoh of Luxor City. Thank you Ali for making our trip memorable. Lots of love from your crazy car driving Indian friend.
