I hired Bala to cover everything google said must watch in Penang in two "half days". My expense was fully worthy to each penny. Bala was very friendly, on time and fully accommodating. He also brought his friend cum chauffeur who seemed to be a formal guide. I had to pay for ticket etc for both of them, but both of them tried their best to make every description known to me and my journey optimized. Both was supper companion. I did all i had in plan + more. Shall recommend Bala for sure and wish both all the best.

Bala Chandran is incredibly knowledgeable with the history and socio-economics of Penang. He is highly motivated in making our trip around Georgetown's historical sites perfect. He has a warm personality, his English is perfect and is an intellectual - sharing with us how locals perceive and understand the place with personal anecdotes here and there. He was able to tailor-make an itinerary for us, visiting the Clan Jetties of Penang, Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, Khoo Kongsi, Wat Chayamangkalaram, Penang Hill, Suffolk House, all in one day. It was a great Day! Bala is a very knowledgeable person. As a retired teacher and an expert in child psychology he can offer more that just a city tour. We expected a simple tour through the city of Georgetown with some details of history and culture. But Bala went way beyond that. It was a great day with deep discussions about culture, religion, history and mankind. We are still in contact and will be back one day. Thank you!
