The tour of Mayan temples itself was great, but his knowledge on the subject was incredibly in depth and interesting.  Also, as someone visiting Belize for the first time, he did a great job of explaining what the country is like with a pretty cool level of civic understanding that I don't believe I even have of my own country.  He makes great conversation, and I wish him the best!

First of all, I hope this is the right Carlos.  It looks like him, but I could be wrong.   I'm actually writing this over a year after my tour, but I keep thinking about how impressed I was with how much Carlos knew about the sites that we visited as well as anything about Belize.  Out of curiosity, I wondered if I could find him on the internet and here he is!   There were a few questions that I asked that I was expecting him not to know answers for, and he had information to give every time.  He seemed very passionate about everything that he talked about, and it was very enjoyable to be around someone who was so intelligent.  If you read this, Carlos, I hope you're doing well!  I appreciate you for making our port call in Belize educational and fun. You were a saint to dumb tourists who thought they could just walk out of the gate.
