Eleni was professional, a wealth of knowledge and showed me many things that a normal tourist just cannot possibly see or understand by just walking around. The museum tour was wonderful and I learned so much. I honestly believe that using a professional guide is the only way to get a real understanding of the history, the people and culture back in time. The attached pic is an example and shows a juicer which is probably the worlds first. Minoans invented water pipes, storm water systems and roads well before anyone else, including the Romans.. a most wonderful day. just watch out as parking can be a real problem so get there early.

We have been very lucky to find Eleni for our private tour to Knossos archaeological site in Heraklion but also the Archaeological Museum in the same city. Apart from being a good connoisseur of the history -both due to her education but also as a local-, she is also a very nice and funny person with great communicational skills. Plus she recommended to us the best places for food and drinks. Highly recommended :)

great guide! Her experience as an archaeologist, historian and guide was evident throughout. Her ability to explain things was appreciated. There aren't enough stars to give her. If you are ever lucky enough to have her as a guide you won't be disappointed! Worth every cent.

A mind-blowing experience. I'm still trying to process everything from the tour and dissect all of the information Eleni delivered, and delivered incredibly well. Eleni was super friendly, personable, and has a wealth of knowledge, not just on Knossos, but Crete culture and history in general. This should be the first thing you do when you land in Heraklion!

Eleni was incredibly knowledgeable and did an excellent job touring our group, which consisted of kids, teens, and adults. We could skip the lines and learn a wealth of information about the rich history of Heraklion. Eleni maintained a great schedule and kept us moving through all the sites the whole time. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing history tour in Crete.
