Mr Dhanabalan, a native of Madurai, conducted a tour for me of Madurai over 4 days, covering the Meenakshi Temple, food tour for best food vendors of Madurai, walked the streets, shopped for the best vattal, bananas, snacks, indian naathu herbal medicine, prayer items, sangu, shruthi music box etc , and we even watched a Tamil movie at a cinema on its opening night. We also went to the surrounding Thiruparangkundram temple, folk tradition temples, Keeladi archeological site and Jain temple. His knowledge of the Tamil history, culture, religion and language were outstanding. He was courteous, a very cautious rider when traveling on the road and very attentive to my request and needs. I strongly recommend him for anyone looking for a great tour of Madurai.

For many years friends had been urging me to see the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai. I had been to India previously on a photographic safari, but this journey would be more cultural. Dhanabalan proved to be the perfect guide. His knowledge of the Temple, it's history, and importance in the Hindu religion was unsurpassed.I am a serious, published photographer, and asked for multiple viewing angles of the unworldly Gopurums. Not just one tower, but all four of the directional majesties. This was accomplished by Dhanabalan effortlessly. Later, after dropping my equipment with his driver, our tour inside could not have been better. Each of my numerous questions was answered with expertise, with an additional touch of humor, that was truly appreciated. I wanted to bring back some special gifts for friends and relatives from South India and Dhanabalan had the right choice each time. Pick up at the airport and drop off was seamless.
