My husband and I cannot praise Alex highly enough. He's one of the official tour guides at the Ocean Bay Hotel which means that he is licensed, and he's friendly, honest and reliable. Alex offers a wide range of trips, from seeing the local attractions ( the Monkey Park and the Crocodile  Pool are 2 of our favourites ) to longer 2 day trips to Senegal with a stopover, all at very competitive prices. He can also arrange airport taxis to save you having to wait for the tour operators coach with its multiple pick ups/drop offs. If you plan on visiting The Gambia we would recommend that you message Alex and let him show you around so that you see this lovely country and its people at their best.

My trip to Gambia has got to be one of the high lights of my travels. Gambia is famous for its bird watching & going on bird watching trips that is certainly true. Canoeing up the Gambian river, with binoculars in hand , was just great. The roots trip took you back to the humanitarian crimes of the past & England part in that . But Alex, my guide , made it clear to me that Gambians in general have forgiven but will never forget the crimes. The whole experience was totally humbling. I found people in Gambia very warm & friendly , your a bit of a novelty up country & the children will run up to you & gather round , which is touching & just great. I thank my guide Alex who looked after us , I can't speak highly enough about  his professionalism & knowledge. If you need a guide Alex is your man.
