My wife, Nancy, and I were fortunate indeed to have Elena guide us through Bergamo. She planned a wonderful day based on the sites we wished to visit, and the art we wished to appreciate. Elena's commentary and obervations as she guided us through the Santa Maria Maggiore cathedral and the Accademia Carrara art museum, were far more instructive than those offered by the guide books (e.g., Frommers and DK). 

The tratorria Elena suggested for lunch was spendid; the meal enhanced by her wine selections (white for Nancy, red for me). We very highly reccomend Elena too ant visitor wishing to experience Bergamo.
