I booked a slum tour with Hena for Saturday, December 13, 2025. Hena picked me up from the lobby of Hotel Cecil (which she recommended) in New Market, Kolkata. By the way, New Market is a very photogenic area. From the moment we met, I immediately felt at ease with her. Hena arranged transportation (a tuk-tuk) without any problems, and we had a pleasant conversation in the backseat. When I arrived at the slum, she gave me a relaxed tour. She chatted with the residents, gave me a lot of information, bought me water, and so on. Much more than you would expect from a guide. Therefore, I give the tour a maximum score of 5, but if I could give it a higher score, I would without hesitation. If I ever need a guide in Kolkata again, I would call Hena immediately! The experience with Hena was absolutely wonderfull Given the fact that I had given a list of wishes she build a program around that to visit all that highlights. Although she injured herself in the first hour she still was walking with me for hours. Her personality is very accommodating and she tries everything to please the customer. The title of my review is CHATT PUJA because it happened to be the day of that festivity and she showed me a lot of it and it was fantastic!

I expected from my guide, Hena Kauser that she not only showed me and told me about the usual in Kolkata but also about daily life iand that is exactly what she did with me as her experienced (74) demanding cliënt. She knows the way in detail and we made excellent tours. We did all I wanted and that is a lot.! We had a very good driver as well. I really can advise this charming lady!

I booked a very last minute tour in Kolkata and was assigned Hena. She met us the following morning at the JW Marriott where we were staying and I knew straight away that we were in good hands. She was very knowledgeable on the local area and taylored the tour to our exact needs given my interest in street photography. Could not be happier and would highly recommend her. Thank you Hena! 

I booked a solo day tour of Kolkota with Hena.  She promptly met me at my hotel the morning of.  Hena's English was very good and I had no problems understanding all of the history and information throughout the day.  She was able to tailor the tour to what I wanted to see /do prior to the tour.  At the end of the day Hena was able to arrange transportation to take me directly to the airport terminal.  Very Convenient.  I cant highly recommend enough if you are thinking of visiting Kolkota to arrange your trip with Hena...
