My brother and I recently climbed Kilimanjaro using the Lemosho Route. Organization by Zara Tours was right from the moment we contacted them which made things pretty easy. We arrived in Tanzania on Xmas eve to find a representative from Zara Tours waiting for us. He took us to Springlands Hotel where we met Tarimo the chief guide and Bright his assistant. They did a detailed briefing of the climb then checked our gear. We met the rest of the team (porters/cook) at Lemosho gate after breakfast and left for climb.

Nothing could have prepared us for the actual climbing experience. It was much more than just trekking, we talked, learned and had a great exchange with the whole team. The crew catered for every of our need and are the reason we summited successfully despite the climb being the most physically and mentally challenging activity we have ever done in together.

We contacted Zara Tours who very quickly helped my wife and I plan a week-long migration safari to Tanzania. We had a wonderful experience as everything was perfectly put in place and we had a wonderful driver to show us around Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. He was very knowledgeable about where to find the best spots for perfect viewing. We loved staying at lodges booked for us. They were very nice.

We were only in Tanzania for 7 days but they hold some of the best memories unequal to past safari experiences from our past travels in Africa. The driver from Zara Tours picked us from Kilimanjaro Airport and after a night in Moshi we travelled for our adventures in the parks starting with Tarangire for a day, 4 days in Serengeti before winding up the trip at Ngorongoro Crater. The beautiful lodges and camps are simply out of this world. They are right in the middle of the jungle with animals criss-crossing through! There are no fences but the Maasai guards escorted us around the camps! It was wonderful tracking game in the parks with Madeal- an expert safari guide who spared nothing to make us happy!

Our trip to Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater must be the best wildlife safari experience in Tanzania! There is plenty of wildlife, breathtaking sceneries, and the accommodation spots chosen for us were all fabulous. Our safari guide Mmari was very nice and friendly. He knew all about the parks and took us to the best spots where we viewed so many different wildlife species. We travelled as a couple and it was only the 2 of us plus our driver in the car.

The trip was fairly priced with no hidden costs. We already knew about tips to our guide and hotel staff from our prior communication with Zara Tours.

We are just back from doing kilimanjaro last week. We took the 6 days Machame route and I appreciate their advice to include the extra day for acclimatization because the push to the summit was extremely tough. We had an awesome crew that made the tough trek manageable from their support and invaluable tips and tact of approach drawn from their numerous times they have successfully guided climbers to the summit.

Food was awesome and we had plenty of water to drink….Its important to keep hydrated. We had the best equipment in terms of tents, sleeping bags, portable toilet, walking sticks, oxymeter and a fully kited first aid box.

Our bonus for being among the first people to go for the trek this season was a really quiet and pristine track.

Overall this is one of the best trips we’ve done.
