I  first travelled with Tony three years ago.  He met me at the airport and we spent the rest of the tour together.  Being on a "one to one" basis it was great in that we could stop wherever we wanted and although we had destinations to get to we were not stuck rigidly to a route. His personal knowledge of the area, which on this occasion was the Free State which is his home area, of course helped a lot. We gradually developed a friendly relationship which encouraged me to tour with him again the following year. We worked together to choose an itinerary and again it worked out very well and as a result I have seen many places well off the usual tourist routes.  This year (March) we again planned an itinerary together and as before it worked out very well taking in battlefield sites, game reserves and a city stay in Durban.  We are already working on next year's itinerary (2018). Because of the attention he gives you as a person he gets to know the subjects in which you are  interested (in my case wild life and history) and plans the tours to meet these interests.  Apart from that he is a very nice person to spend time with and this also makes for a relaxing and enjoyable time.
