6-Day Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech with Merzouga Camel Trek

Start at 7:30 from Marrakech to Ouarzazate, at the gates of the Great South, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and witnessing extraordinary landscapes.

Before reaching Ouarzazate, visit the famous Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a beautiful filming location for some great movies.

Dinner in Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, depart from Ouarzazate to Merzouga via Tazzarine, passing through beautiful villages beneath Jbel Tizouguirene. Continue toward Alnif across a vast rocky plain.

Lunch in Alnif.

Dinner and overnight in a bivouac in Merzouga.

After breakfast, head toward the dunes to discover the desert plateau, the village of black people (Khamlia), the two oases of Hassi Labiad and Tissrdmine. Also visit Rissani to explore its ksour.

Return to the hotel before taking the camel to the bivouac for a night in Berber tents.

After breakfast, depart for Erfoud and then continue to Tinghir, famous for its lush palm grove.

In the afternoon, visit the Gorges du Todra, a natural site of high rocky cliffs.

Dinner and overnight in a magnificent riad.

After breakfast, depart for Ouarzazate along the road known as the 1,000 Kasbahs, following the Dadès Valley for 150 km. Witness the mountains of the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas and admire the fortified villages.

On the way, pass through the town of Kelaa M'Gouna, a beautiful village in Morocco's Valley of Roses.

In the afternoon, visit Ouarzazate.

Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

Depart toward Marrakech via Tizi-n-Tichka, the highest pass in the country, which remains snow-covered for most of the year.

Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
