4-Day Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech with Merzouga Camel Ride

Pick up from your place of stay (Riad or hotel) in Marrakech and set out across the rugged scenery toward the Dades Gorges, passing through Tizi-n-Tishka in the High Atlas Mountains.

Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has also served as the backdrop for many well-known films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Alexander.

Enjoy a scrumptious lunch followed by an excursion through the beautiful natural landscapes and historical monuments of Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate.

Continue to the famous El Kelaa des M'Gouna, also known as the Valley of the Roses, and explore the Berber villages along Boumalne du Dades, where you will spend the night.

From Boumalne Dades, head to Merzouga with your Moroccan guide/driver. Along the way, pass through several Berber villages, including Tinghir, as well as Todra Gorge, where the cliffs rise as high as 600 m and narrow to just 10 m wide.

Stop for lunch in either Tinejdad or Rissani, where you can sample the local speciality known as Berber pizza.

Continue to Merzouga to begin your 90-minute camel trek, which takes you to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp consists of several comfortable Berber tents equipped with mattresses and linen, as well as a restaurant, a kitchen, and a natural toilet.

In the evening, enjoy a lively dinner followed by entertainment provided by Berber drums around a campfire.

Before sunrise, wake up to climb the sand dunes and make the most of the fantastic photo opportunities.

Return to the hotel for showers and breakfast before setting out for Ouarzazate. During the journey, pass through various picturesque sites such as Alnif, Tazzarine, Nkob, and the Draa Valley.

Spend the night in a guest house in Ouarzazate.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and set out for the spectacular High Atlas Mountains.

Transfer back to Marrakech, where you will be dropped off at your Riad or hotel.
