Trip to the Three Valleys of the High Atlas from Marrakech
- Get picked up from your hotel at 9AM for a wonderful day trip to explore the high atlas mountains and discover the hidden villages outside Marrakech.
- We cross the beautiful landscapes of the High Atlas between Berber villages on the hillside and shepherds grazing their flock on the steep slopes of Atlas mountains, towards Moulay Brahim. Plateaus and cliffs alternate with deep gorges. Further down, the Kik plateau seems to dig the Atlas and the Agafay desert lets us think of southern Morocco. Throughout the year, the Kik plateau changes seasonally: brown when farmers plow the land with their mules, white in winter with the snowy peaks of the Atlas; green in spring, when barley fields of bright green are dotted with poppies, and finally the yellow in summer that announces the harvests.
- Through the village of Asni, the road continues along a valley between the mountains of the Toubkal massif to reach Oukaimden, through the road of Ourika valley, we will have the chance to stop to visit a women cooperative of argan oil before reaching Ourika valley or setti fadma to start an hour and half of guided hike.
- After a guided hike, you will have a delicious lunch in a local restaurant by the river or on a beautiful panoramic terrace.
- After lunch, we will drive back to Marrakech.
