The itinerary

Day 01

Marrakech to Imlil and Trek to Toubkal Refuge

  • Get picked up at 8:00 AM and drive from Marrakech to Imlil.

  • Enjoy a scenic ride south towards the craggy peaks, with amazing views of valleys overlooking the Toubkal Massif.

  • Upon arrival, meet your local tour guide and begin the trek from Imlil to Toubkal Refuge.

  • Pass through the village of Aremd, the highest village in the Imlil Valley.

  • Visit the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch.

  • Stop for a delicious lunch in the village.

  • Explore the local cascading waterfall.

  • Continue your Atlas Mountain trek, snaking and zigzagging up to the Toubkal Refuge.

  • Stop for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Approximately 5 hours of walking.

Day 02

Summit Jebel Toubkal and Return to Marrakech

  • Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and climb to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa.

  • Reach the summit to enjoy unrestricted views in every direction, from Marrakech to the Sahara.

  • Retrace your steps and descend the mountain towards Imlil, stopping for lunch en route.

  • Transfer from Imlil to Marrakech, with drop-off at your accommodation by 5:00 PM.

Approximately 9 hours of hiking.
