Enjoy a desert trip from Marrakech to visit the beautiful Dades Valley, the dunes of Merzouga and the door of the desert, Ouarzazate, for an authentic Moroccon experience. Get a chance to meet the Berber people and try Moroccan gastronomy, known for its spicy cuisines, like tajines, Bastila, couscous.

  • Day 1: Marrakech to High Atlas Mountains, Dades Valley expand_more
    • Pick up at the hotel or Riad by your local guide and head towards the High Atlas Mountains, the highest altitudes of North Africa.
    • Enjoy the snow at the higher elevations, during winter and well into spring.
    • Continue towards Ouarzazate, a village near the High Atlas mountains and the Draa River valley. It is the movie capital, where the most important film studio in Morocco is located.
    • Make your way down the road of Thousand Kasbahs, entering the Dades Valley.
    • Keep on the river road entering the narrow valley; stop here to enjoy the valley views.

    Have dinner and spend the night here.

  • Day 2: Merzouga to Erg Chebbi Desert expand_more
    • Wake up early to watch the sunrise.
    • Visit a nomad family, eat under the shade of a tree, and observe how the Berber pizza is made and taste it.
    • Rest for a while and then venture into the desert in 4x4 drives.
    • See an oasis and visit the town of Khamlia (village of the blacks), MIFISS mines, and meet the Berber nomads.
    • Return to the Haima and have dinner.

    Play music and spend the night in the tent.

  • Day 3: Erg Chebbi Desert expand_more
    • Watch the beautiful sunrise. 
    • Make another visit to a nomad family. Enjoy the Berber pizza, rest for a while and later make a route through the desert.
    • Leave to see an oasis in the desert in a 4×4 vehicle. Stop at the town of Khamlia (village of the blacks), MIFISS mines, desert places, and meet the Berber nomads of the desert and return to the Haima for dinner.

    Play music and spend the night in a tent.

  • Day 4: Merzouga Desert, Rissani to Ouarzazate expand_more
    • Wake up early to watch the sunrise and return on camels to the hotel.
    • Take a shower and continue travelling towards Rissani. Stop and visit the market. A significant market that caters to all the surrounding villages, offering shops and stalls of all kinds.
    • Continue on your route to Ouarzazate, crossing the magnificent and spectacular Draa Valley with huge palm trees throughout the afternoon.

    Arrive in Ouarzazate, have dinner and spend the night.

  • Day 5: Ouarzazate to Marrakech expand_more
    • Go to the fortified city called Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. Several films have been made famous such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, the Mummy, etc.
    • Arrive back at Marrakech.
