Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazate to Todra Gorges

   • Depart early in the morning from Marrakech.

   • Cross the High Atlas Mountains and reach the Tizi N Tichka pass at 2260 m.

   • Continue driving towards Ouarzazate city.

   • Visit the Kasbah Taourirt and film studios. 

   • Continue to the Dades Gorges. On the way, cross the most beautiful road of one thousand Kasbahs. 

   • Arrival at Todra Gorges for dinner and overnight.

   Distance: 300 km

2. Day 2: Todra Gorges to Erfoud to Rissani to Merzouga

   • Visit the Palmeraie area, which has thousands of palm trees.

   • Get to Todra gorges and walk around the area.

   • Continue the journey through Tinejdad and Erfoud. 

   • Have lunch at Rissani and visit Alaouit’s first king's tomb (current Royal family). 

   • Arrive at Merzouga and enjoy a camel ride through the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, observing the sunset behind the sand dunes. 

   • Spend the under nomadic tents or marabou between the sands.

3. Day 3: Merzouga to Rissani to Alnif to Agdez to Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou

   • After breakfast, depart towards the Draa valley through Alnif, Nqob, and Tazarine. 
   • Cross the most mysterious desert landscapes, dotted with oasis.
   • Continue to Agdez along the Draa valley. 
   • Have lunch and arrive at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.

   Distance: 250 km

4. Day 4: Ait Ben Haddou to Tizi N’Tichka Pass to Marrakech

   • After breakfast, visit the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. Hundreds of movies were shot in this area, such as The Mummy, Gladiator, etc.

   • After visiting the Kasbah, continue back to Tizi N’tichka.

   • Have lunch, and proceed towards the red city Marrakech.
