Itinerary

1. Day 1: Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazate to Todra Gorges

   • Depart early morning. Cross the High Atlas Mountains and reach the Tizi N'Tichka pass at 2260 m.
   • Continue to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Visit the wonderful ksar, which is registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
   • Proceed towards Ouarzazate for sightseeing opportunities of Kasbah Taourirt and studios films.
   • Continue to the Dades Gorges. Cross the most beautiful road dotted with one thousand Kasbahs.
   • Arrival at Todra Gorges for dinner and overnight.

2. Day 2: Todra Gorges to Erfoud to Merzouga Dunes

   • Depart to Merzouga dunes in the morning.
   • Visit the Palmeraie area, which has thousands of palm trees, then proceed towards the Todra gorges. Walk around to explore the region.
   • Continue the journey through Tinejdad, Erfoud.
   • Have lunch at Rissani, and visit Alaouit's first king's tomb (current Royal Family).
   • Arrive at Merzouga, and enjoy a camel ride through the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, observing the sunset behind dunes.
   • Spend the night under nomadic tents or marabou between sands.

   Distance: 199 km

3. Day 3: Merzouga to Rissani to Nqob to Tammougalte to Ouarzazate to Marrakech

   • After breakfast, departure (different way back) towards the Draa valley through Nqob.

   • Cross the most mysterious desert landscapes, dotted with oasis.

   • Continue to Ouarzazate along the Draa valley, have lunch, and return to Marrakech.
