Full-Day Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain Tour
- 05:00 AM – Pick up from your hotel in Cusco by private transport.
Drive south to the small village of Checacupe.
Stop to see an Inca bridge and a colonial bridge, and to purchase last-minute items such as drinks, snacks, sunblock, and rain ponchos.
Continue driving for approximately one more hour to reach the base camp.
Begin a gradual uphill walk of 30–45 minutes to the Palccoyo Pass (4,880 metres / 16,000 feet).
Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the three Rainbow Mountains, the Palccoyo peaks, the Ausangate Mountain (the highest in the Cusco region), and the Stone Forest at the highest point.
Spend approximately one hour at the pass for photography and sightseeing.
Return to base camp by the same trail.
Have a freshly prepared hot lunch at a local site.
Travel back to Cusco in the private van.
Arrive at your hotel at approximately 5:30 PM.
