The itinerary

Day 01

Hustai National Park and Nomadic Family Stay

  • In the morning at 09:00 AM, you will meet your local guide and driver in your hotel lobby and drive to Hustai National Park, one of the most popular national parks in Mongolia.
  • Upon arrival, we will visit a nomadic family and enjoy lunch.
  • Afterward, you will have the opportunity to experience a one-hour horse ride with the family.
  • Later, we will head into the national park to see the magnificent Takhi wild horses, also known as Przewalski's horses, which are the last remaining wild horses on Earth.
  • You will also have the chance to observe other wildlife in their natural habitat.
  • In the evening, we will return to the nomadic family.
  • You will stay overnight in your own traditional Mongolian ger, situated next to the nomads' ger.

Day 02

Terelj National Park, Turtle Rock and Temple Hike

  • Today, we will drive to the beautiful Terelj National Park, one of the most famous national parks for a weekend getaway.
  • Upon arrival, we will visit a local family in the park, located a short drive away, and enjoy lunch.
  • Afterward, we will explore the naturally shaped Turtle Rock and the Temple of Meditation on a 2-3 hour hike.
  • Optional horseback riding is also available in the park for those interested.
  • In the evening, we will stay overnight with the local family.

Day 03

Giant Chinggis Khan Statue and Return to Ulaanbaatar

  • After breakfast, we will say goodbye to our hosts and drive to Ulaanbaatar, stopping at the Giant Chinggis Khan statue, a 40 m-high stainless-steel monument.
  • We will arrive before lunchtime, and you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
