THIS IS A SEASONAL TOUR, AVAILABLE FROM MID-NOVEMBER UNTIL CHRISTMAS Discover the Christmas Markets of Cologne on a guided walking tour and enjoy the festive atmosphere with a mug of traditional mulled wine. Cologne's different-themed markets come alive through decorations, twinkling lights, and seasonal treats as you visit three of the city's most beautiful markets. Start at the Heinzel fountain to learn about the Christmas Market themes and the gnome decorations at Cologne's biggest market, continue to the Angel Market at Neumarkt, and finish at Santa Claus Village with a mug of Glühwein.

There, we will share a mug of mulled wine (a non-alcoholic version is available) and find the best photo spots.

The itinerary

Day 01

Cologne Christmas Markets Walking Tour

We meet outside Früh Kölsch am Dom, next to the gnome's fountain.
We talk about the fountain to learn the legend, then continue to the gnomes market, where we will see some of the Christmas classics, the symbols of the city, and try some snacks.
We have a 12-15 minute walk through a commercial street to reach the next market at Neumarkt.
We visit the Angel Market, where we will see some real angels and the city Nativity Scene. Here, we will discover the most famous confectionery in Cologne and try Stollen, the popular German sweet bread.
We walk just a few more minutes to reach the third market, Santa Claus Village. There, we will share a mug of mulled wine (a non-alcoholic version is available) and find the best photo spots.

The drink is included, but the mug price is not. The included hot drink is served in a ceramic mug for which you must pay a deposit. If you want to keep the mug as a souvenir, that is possible upon payment.
