The itinerary

Day 01

Journey from Manaus to the Amazon lodge

• Travel by car from your hotel in Manaus to the departure point, where you will take a motorised boat.
• After viewing the meeting of the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões, which forms the Amazon River, continue deeper into the region.
• Later, you may choose the option of sleeping one night in the jungle, or visit a native home.
• Back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 02

Jungle walk, piranha fishing, and nocturnal wildlife spotting

• After the guide's briefing, you are required to bring the proper equipment, including a long-sleeve shirt and pants, before setting off on your jungle walk. During the walk, you will learn how to survive in the jungle, how to use medicinal plants, and how to make souvenirs from palm leaves.
• In the afternoon, you and your guides will go piranha fishing.
• See the sunset, then return to the lodge for dinner.
• After dinner, you and your guides will go by motorised boat on a nocturnal boat ride to observe the wildlife, spot caimans (alligators), and learn how to fish using a spear.

Day 03

Sunrise excursion and flooded forest exploration

• Leave the lodge at 5:30 am to see the sunrise.
• Breakfast.
• Afterwards, you will go in small wooden canoes to explore the flooded forest.
• Back to the lodge for lunch.
• At 14:00, leave the lodge and return to Manaus or go directly to the airport.

It is found along the side of Rio Preto and is as simple as the natives live.

The guide is an indigenous man who knows a lot about the wildlife, flora, and fauna.
