Day 01

Genbaku Dome

The Genbaku Dome is a poignant testimony to the atomic bomb that hit Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. This building is still partially standing. We pass by and can reflect there.

Peace Memorial Park

We walk in the Peace Memorial Park between the Genbaku Dome and the Hiroshima Peace Museum.

Peace Memorial Museum

We visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, an important and moving testimony to the Second World War and the atomic bomb that fell on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.

Ferry between Hiroshima and Miyajima

We take the ferry to Itsukushima island. We can admire all the surroundings on the Seto Inland Sea.

Miyajima Omotesando Shopping Street

The Miyajima Omotesando shopping street welcomes us and we can have lunch there.

Itsukushima Shinto Shrine

The island of Miyajima and its Shinto shrine Itsukushima is famous throughout the world especially for its gate, the large torii positioned on the sea. We visit this shrine and learn more about the history and religion of Japan.
