Full-Day Train Journey to Machu Picchu from Cusco
Early in the morning, meet your private transfer in the lobby of your hotel in Cusco.
Transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station.
Board a scenic train for a spectacular 2-hour journey following the Urubamba River through the high Andes to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town).
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, meet your guide and proceed to the bus station.
Take a 25-minute bus ride up the mountain to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
Receive a brief orientation from your guide before beginning the tour.
Explore Machu Picchu Citadel on a guided tour lasting approximately two and a half hours. Visit remarkable sites including the Temples of the Sun and the Condor, aqueducts, houses, and Incan Sacred Terraces while learning about their history and significance.
After the tour, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes.
Enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants in Aguas Calientes.
Board the train for the return journey to Ollantaytambo.
Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, meet your private transport and transfer back to your hotel in Cusco.
