On this hike, you will see the San Francisco neighbourhood from its highest lookout, more than 1,000 ft above sea level, and enjoy great views from several other points around Niterói's Natural Park, including Rio de Janeiro. You will also visit the park's former paraglider ramps and pass interesting landscape features that reveal more about its history. Join me for this experience.

The itinerary

Day 01

Meeting at the Forest Sector Entrance

Your tour guide will be waiting for you at the main entrance of the forest sector.
There is a security cabin for the city's guards.
There is also a small sugarcane juice snack bar.
After the instructions and briefing, you will continue to the trail access.

Day 02

Hike Up Ignatius Hill

Take your time and enjoy the nature around you.
Because the path can get steep and tricky at times, it is better to relax and take it easy.
Once at the top, take plenty of pictures.
But remember to stay present in the moment and truly live this experience.

Day 03

Plateau Lookout and Torii Gate

Following a former road to the hang gliding ramps,
you will reach a beautiful spot to observe the Oceanic Neighborhoods on the outskirts of the park area.
You can take pictures at a peaceful bamboo handcrafted Torii Gate.
The gate was built by volunteers to honor the Japanese community that chose Niterói as their home in the past.

Day 04

Descent and Trail Exit

Let's descend from the hill and follow the trail.
Continue until it turns into interlocked pavement and asphalt.
Then head straight to the restaurant, known for its good reputation and good food.

Day 05

Farewell After the Hike

It was a challenging morning and a beautiful set of memories built.
But now it is time to say goodbye.
