Let's go hiking in Niterói's City Natural Park, created by decree in 2014 and home to one of the most beautiful preserved rainforest biomes in the region. On this tour, you'll explore two different sectors - the Coastal/Lagoon of Piratininga sector and the Forest sector - beginning high on the hill and ending at sea level on an island in the other sector. Along the way, enjoy trails waiting to be discovered, beautiful views of Niterói City and Rio de Janeiro, and the chance to reconnect with nature. If you feel brave enough, it is also possible to fly your way down with a paraglider instructor on a tandem flight.

The itinerary

Day 01

09:00 Meeting at Shopping Lido Center

We'll meet at a small local shopping center, where you can use the toilet, buy something at the local snack bar, or pick up anything you may have forgotten to bring from the list.

Day 02

09:20 Begin the Hike in Niterói's City Natural Park

We will begin our adventure by following the street that takes us high up the hill.

Day 03

10:00 Explore the Eucalyptus Forest

We will enter the woods and visit a man-made forest made entirely of eucalyptus.
It's a great place to talk about sustainability and take pictures. Depending on the weather, the background can feel scary or pleasant.

Day 04

10:30 Visit the Head Office and Flight Ramp

There, we can watch the paragliders in action and maybe take a lesson (not included).
If that's not the case, we can enjoy the view and visit the park's head office, which has a model of the whole park and information panels on the trekking areas available for us to explore. Let's choose some of them and go!

Day 05

12:00 Lunch Break

Let's regain our strength with delicious miner's cuisine, typical of the old-timers who explored gold in our country. (Meals/drinks not included.)

Day 06

14:00 Trek to Point Island

Are you ready to see birds and lizards up close? It's time to do some trekking with a pinch of bird watching!

Day 07

16:00 Optional Spa Evening

You survived!
So... you've earned a very good moment for yourself after being brave and fearless in the forests of Niterói: a spa session! (Not included.) Enjoy!
