The itinerary

Day 01

Cusco South Valley, Inca Sites, and Cusipata Homestay

• Pick up in Cusco City at 8 am and travel south to the Temple of Water at Tipón. Continue to Pikillaqta, where you will walk around the ancient city, then visit the Rumiqolqa gate. After that, drive to Andahuaylillas, known for its Sistine Chapel, and enjoy a traditional lunch with the locals.
• After lunch, continue to the Cusipata Valley to walk around the farming fields and rivers. Have dinner, or cook some delicious potatoes ourselves with the locals' help. Overnight stay at a homestay in Cusipata.

Day 02

Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley Hike

• Have an early breakfast, then take a one-hour trip to the beginning of the hike to Vinincunca Rainbow Mountain. The hike to the viewpoint takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
• Once we reach the colorful mountain, we will move on before the crowds start to arrive and take the trail to the Red Valley. This area is protected by a native community, so there is a basic entrance ticket to pay, but it is worth it. The hike lasts about 3 to 4 hours, and we will have a box lunch. Afterward, we will return to our car, right where we left it that morning.
• Drive back to Cusco. The tour ends at about 5 to 6 pm.
