Arrival at Amman Airport. Meet-and-greet service at Amman Airport (QAIA), followed by a transfer to your hotel in Amman. Check in, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight. If the arrival is after 9 pm, dinner will not be included.
After breakfast, depart from the hotel for a city tour of Amman to visit the Citadel and Roman Theatre. Then proceed to the ancient city of Jerash, which has the best-preserved remains of the provincial cities of the ancient Roman Empire.
Jerash became one of the league of cities known as the Decapolis, all of which were given special economic, judicial, and trading rights when, in 63 BCE, they were incorporated into the Roman Empire. Jerash reached its peak during the 1st and 2nd centuries CE.
The well-preserved Roman theatre, the temples, many streets, and the large oval-shaped forum, or agora, date from this period. Walking along the ancient streets of Jerash and discovering the city's remarkably well-preserved remains are sure to be highlights of any visit to Jordan. Return to your hotel in Amman for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to visit the town known for its mosaics, Madaba, and Mount Nebo. Madaba's main attraction is the contemporary Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, which is home to a wonderfully vivid sixth-century Byzantine mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites.
A 10-minute drive west of Madaba brings you to one of the most revered sites in Jordan: Mount Nebo, the memorial of Moses and the presumed site of the prophet's death and burial place. Early Byzantine Christians built a small square church on the spot and later expanded it into a vast complex.
Continue towards Shobak Castle. Later, proceed to Petra for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, spend the entire day exploring the ancient city of Petra, known for its stunning rock-cut architecture. Begin by walking through the narrow gorge called the Siq, which leads to the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh).
Continue further into the site to discover various other monuments, such as the Royal Tombs, the Monastery (Ad-Deir), and the High Place of Sacrifice. Later, drive to Wadi Rum for dinner and overnight camping.
After breakfast at the camp, join a 4x4 jeep tour through the Martian-like landscape of Wadi Rum, visiting iconic sites like Lawrence's Spring and the Seven Pillars of Wisdom. Experience the tranquillity of the desert in Wadi Rum.
