Day 01

Recôncavo, Santo Amaro and Cachoeira Tour

  • After pick-up in Salvador, travel past the poor suburbs of the city and then through a succession of agricultural fields and grasslands.

  • A winding road lined with bamboo plantations brings you first to Santo Amaro, where you will visit the amazing and busy local market, along with some of the streets and squares in the town centre.

  • Continue to the historic city of Cachoeira, which lies majestically in the valley of the Paraguaçu River. Here, enjoy a walking tour through the picturesque streets with their old houses and churches. There will be time for lunch.

  • In the afternoon, visit the Dannemann cigar factory, where the famous top-class cigars are still hand-rolled.

  • At 3:30 PM, head back to Salvador.
